the crazy lady is bugging out - UPDATE

Aug 18th, 2005 by dave | 0

*READ THIS ARTICLE*

everyone’s heard about the woman holding a vigil (protest is a better word) outside the president’s crawford ranch. today, she’s finally bugging out. the circumstances for her departure are unfortunate, but maybe the media will move on to something better. but, probably not.

[rant]

the following quote set me off today, and i’ve seen many similar as of late:
“sheehan had vowed to remain there until Bush met with her or until his month-long vacation ended. Her protest inspired candlelight vigils across the country Wednesday night.” associated press writer angela k. brown

vacation? come on folks!

check out this quote (from, arguably, someone “in the know”):
“the oval office is wherever the president of the United States is… with the communications being what they are, the president can communicate instantly with whomever he wants anywhere in the world.” kenneth m. duberstein, former reagan chief of staff.

as for the “vacation”, go check out the official white house website - that just so happens to post details of the president’s daily schedule - then tell me he’s on vacation.

btw, the house and senate are in recess… and those that aren’t campaigning probably are enjoying a good vacation. i’m sure good ‘ole ted kennedy is hammered. well, i don’t guess he needs a recess for that… moving on…

i prefer to never call anyone names, but the before mentioned lady is crazy. i refuse to use her name (except for the quote above) because she doesn’t deserve it - i’ll continue to call her the crazy lady, because she is indeed.

Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, deserves the attention crazy lady is taking from him. his name will not be forgotten. he was my age when he was killed by an rpg in iraq. he is a hero.

move on to something else people. is this news? how many people are sitting outside the white house, or the local grocery store protesting something right now?

but i guess some people (i.e. associated press writer angela k. brown) justify having a job for stories like this one. true journalist, wherever you are, please step up to the plate, i’m losing respect for your profession.
