wish you were here

i listen to music all the time. heck, i even write stuff from time to time. i really appreciate good tunes.

it’s crazy how a certain chorus can instantly remind you of a certain place in time - be it “satisfaction” (the stones) taking me to the right seat of dad’s old ranger as we drove down tyree springs road in the morning, “hey jude” for those new years eve trips from nana & pop’s to portland, dude, i could go on and on…

right now, i’m listening to pink floyd - thinking about me, lon & shana curtis singing “comfortably numb” in panama city beach, while headed to the human maze, in three part harmony and the hours i’ve listened to lon play “wish you were here” trying to sing harmony with him…

music is a great thing, but it’s nowhere near as amazing as friendship.
