wii and drums

Jun 13th, 2007 by dave | 0

two things: i’ve got to get my hands on a wii. played one for the first time today at work (… yes, work) and have to get one. don’t know how it works, but it does - and it’s cool. which leads me to my second point…

i went looking for said wii at gamestop, just down from our house in the ‘ville. walked in and immediately to my right, i saw guitar hero. everyone and their mother has been telling me about this game. so, i started trying to figure out the demo. the only other person in the store (save for the sale rep) was a 10-12 year old dude. he came up and reached for the guitar as i was getting my game set up. he proceeded to show me how it works and i was wailing in no time to alice in chains — something my friend David (his web sites) actually did… in real life.

back to my story… (which is significantly less awesome compared with David rocking with and hanging out with Alice in Chains)…

whilst attempting to rock out, the young dude and i were talking and, i don’t remember all details, but he randomly asked me what i did. without hesitation, i told him i was a drummer in a rock band. he got all big eyed and said this awesome quote… “i want to be a drummer in a band when i grow up.” respect. i told him what i tell everyone that says that, or something similar, about the drums…

do it. if i can, you can.
